Whale Watching

Whale Watching

Every year Humpback Whales come from the Arctic during November to mid-May to mate and calve in warm Hawaiian waters. While most whales are seen between Maui and Molokai, there are whale watching tours available on Oahu. Wild Side Eco-Adventures offers a morning 3+ hour wildlife cruise for $115 per person. They also advertise year-round whale watching tours on their website www.sailawayhawaii.com. Because of the temperate waters, the ocean is full of other sea life besides just the wintering humpback whales. Pilot Whales, Spinner, Bottlenose, and Spotted Dolphins are permanent residents off of the leeward Waianae coast and can be viewed throughout the year. The Viator website, www.viator.com/tour/oahu, advertises a 2.5 hour whale watching cruise off of Waikiki Beach with a tropical lunch starting at $74.29.
